bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Review

I bought this...and no affiliate links either!

I love cute little tubes of lipstick (heck, any lipstick really) so I was excited to get this little beauty in my March Ipsy bag.

Having never tried anything bareMinerals, it only added to the fun. Was it actually a fun experience?

Look and see!

BareMinerals has a line of lipsticks and lipglosses called Marvelous Moxie available where ever you get BareMinerals--Ulta, Sephora, boutiques, online, etc.

There are 18 colors in the lipstick range that go from cool purples, to nudes, and stoplight reds. They are suppose to be "creamy, super-saturated, ultra-pigmented" and "glide on like butter for full coverage in a rich satin finish."

In my Ipsy bag, I received the color Get Ready which is described as a warm, rosy, pink.

Compared against a Covergirl gloss because I needed to swatch it too lol

On me, it is an honest nude lip. It is extremely close in color to my natural lips.

As for wear, pigment, and all the important stuff--it is a highly pigmented lipstick that obviously does have a satin finish. It wore comfortably for 3 hours before my winter lips decided to start chapping again. It does glide on wonderfully smooth and give my lips a natural color and look.

At $18 a tube, it hits squarely in the prestige market. It is not as hydrating and forgiving on lips as my beloved Givenchy Le Rouge color, but for exactly half, excluding shipping, I think this line would be an excellent alternative. They do wear nearly the same, the only difference being the Givenchy is slightly more hydrating, plumping, and longer-wearing on the lips.

I do love my snazzy leather case my Givenchy comes in, but I think I will be a-okay getting two black click-cases for the price of one in the future.

I recieved my sample tube in my March Ipsy Subscription bag, but you can purchase Marvelous Moxie lipsticks for $18 at Ulta, the BareMinerals' site, or anywhere else BareMinerals is sold.

TL;DR--HYDRATING. CREAMY. PIGMENTED. IF GIVENCHY LE ROUGE IS TOO EXPENSIVE, THIS IS HALF THE PRICE.
