Zoya PixieDust in Carter Review

I bought this... (No affiliate links either)

More after the jump...

Zoya Pixie Dust in Carter (LE) is a royal purple with magenta sparkles. If you are unfamiliar with Zoya's Pixie Dust formula, it is a sparkle texture polish. You don't use a base coat nor a top coat (unless you want to smooth it out and it will take a ton of top coat to do that) with these polishes.

I am not normally a fan of textured polishes like this because they feel like sand paper, but when I saw this color on sale at my local Ulta, I snatched it up. This color, unlike another I have by Zoya, doesn't seem to be as gritty. These are not nearly as gritty as Julie G's Gumdrop polishes.

Totally glad I got this color. It is lovely. The sparkle is magnificent and even my husband, who doesn't notice much of anything beauty-related on me anymore (HA!), noticed and commented on this shade. He even said that the grit doesn't seem to be bad either, so hubby-tested and approved! WOO!

The wear on these polishes, even without top and bottom coats is great with me and I am very hard on my nails. They last between 5-7 days with very light edge wear, and longer before any small chips happen. The really awesome thing about Pixie Dust polishes is if you ever get a major chip, it is easy-peasy to fill in with a few well-placed drops and it is like the damage never happened! LOVE IT!

I found my polish at Ulta on sale for $4.99 since this was a Fall 2013 Limited Edition color, but you can still find it on Zoya's site along with the others from the Fall.

TL; DR: I LOVE THIS POLISH AND MY HUBBY LIKES IT TOO :D
